Château Cambon - Saint-Jean-d'Ardières

Château Cambon is owned and administered by the Lapierre family in association with Jean-Claude Chanudet. Between them they purchased the then bankrupt estate in 1995 and have since breathed new life into the vineyards and cellar. The 13 hectares of Gamay vines are located mainly in Morgon although there is a small parcel of vines in Côtes du Py. The average age of the vines is 60 years and everything is carried out according to organic principles: the grapes are handpicked and there is very little intervention in the cellar.

Every year a new  artistic and charming label is created for the nouveau. The controversial political cartoonist Siné had created these captivating works of art for many years, until his death in May of 2016. Hopefully the Chanudet & Lapierre families will find another artist to continue this legacy.
